well i think i found out what to do with my 20 gallon for an experimental tank. thinking about trying a riparium. i think that could be pretty cool. has anyone ever tried one?

It's a terrarium... no it's a partially filled aquarium... NO it's a RIPARIUM!

They're really pretty. I feel like a breeder tank would be a little better just for the height, but you should definitely try it.

my 20 is pretty tall. also i have the partial canopy that my lighting goes on top of giving me the same height as a 55 gallon. so i think i got the height covered. going to take some planning i know that. thinking like a bunch of crypts in the water since thats the shortest plant i have had luck with. but not sure what plants to do on the surface that likes having it's feet constantly wet. also i'm going to have to use a different filtration system as the hob filter on it now will not work obviously. if anyone has any ideas feel free.

Those are intended for a vivarium but they are species that can be either totally submerged, or just have roots wet.

I'm sure there are other plants as well. Maybe google vivarium plants and see what else comes up.

i didn't knwo anubias or any kinda crypt were ok out of the water. i'll have to look into all of that. thanks caps for the info
