He is a purple-red betta that I inherited from a friend at work.

My friend who is actually from Nigeria, gave him such a funny name. Later decided to give him an american name of Michael Jordan since he (the fish) got his greencard.

But soon I inherited the fish since he was living in a small vase for so long. He was much happier when moved to a larger 10 gallon tank. Later I decided for him to change his name back since he was going back to his roots.

He was so happy when moved into my planted tank. He likes to hide in the cave that I have, or laying on the roots of the Java fern I have tied to a driftwood in the back. He is often the first to come out to eat when feeding, and happily chomps the flakes away.

But last week I did not see him anymore; its been a week now but I still could not find him. It is a small tank so I am pretty sure he has passed away. He has lived with me about 2 years and about 1 year when from the fish store. He will be much missed...
