I can not tie down ricca for the life of me >:( It always seems to wiggle out of its confines. How do you guy/gals tie down plants to wood? I use thread is that the problem?

I've used the hairnet option with success..
but regardless of which method you use, you must trim it frequently... otherwise it'll eventually dislodge itself from the rock/wood since there's no light reaching the insides of the riccia bush.

I was just wondering how much you guys are paying for the Riccia anyways.  It appears like a 3 inch by 3 inch carpet portion at my LFS costs like 15-20 bucks.  I have been able to find it at only one of my LFS near me.  Also, when one ties down the riccia and it propagates, does it escape the mesh or nylon wires you make?
