Bubbles has not developed a hood.Is this ranchu a type known as frog head?He has the characteristic round head ,but with none of the nodules that one commonly associates with ranchu. What a beauty though,a very healthy fellow.Although his tail is not considered correct form.It is the double tail but the top is fused as one, giving his tail a distinct triangle shape when viewed from behind. He is quite lovely even so ,and lives in a 20 gallon .He loves peas and bloodworms.Due to his egg shape he gets quite gassy if fed commercial food with wheat, gluten, corn etc.Although he does enjoy sinking shrimp pellets occasionally.I feed him in the morning .As it is recommended by Japanese breeders ,that Ranchu not go through the night with their bellies full.Any comments or questions would be welcomed.-D
