post natal mollies

:(ok this is how it goes, i had 2 female pregnant mollies which both gave birth 2 about 50 fry between them, the smallest female which was black died a week after giving birth she looked really bad her body weight dropped rapid and when i looked in on her in the tank she was floating in a upright position looking alive but she was dead her eyes all cloudy and her stomach really arched!!! can any1 help me as 2 what has caused this as my white female looks as though shes going the same way, ive never seen anything
like it before, any suggestions please anyone??:confused:

Usually when females are exposed to males at a young age and start mating their body focuses more on spawning and having fry than it does growing. They could have just had poor immune systems and weren't strong enough to survive after giving birth to the fry.

That's just my guess, though.
