Hi I just started a new 46 gallon pond in a pot. It is about 24 inches deep and 26 inches wide at the widest point. I have two small comets in it right now and I was wondering what I could do with them in the winter. I want to keep the pond going but I don't know if I can. It gets about 20degrees f here at the coldest for one day. We only have below freezing temps for a week at night and it stays around 40-35 usually. Is it safe to leave them or do I need to get a heater or bring them inside? I don't think the water will freeze even on the top. Any ideas?

i agree with fuzz..you will def need a larger pond

although im not really sure if it s a good idea to have one above ground for the winter...there is less insulation in comparison to ones that are in the ground...
