my backyard has 2 ponds (on a hill so you can make a water fall with a pump) and i am interested in actualyl CLEANING them and stocking them with a koi or 2 each but im concerned about filtration. I dunno if it would be possible to position proper filters because of the way they are built (into the ground and lined with cement). i dunno it might be a hopeless case, but i think it would actually make my backyard look somewhat clean. (its a JUNGLE, rediculous). o i also dont undersatnd how you keep leaves and acorns and such from falling in and trashing it. i guess just netting tem out daily?

Just use a regular water pump to lift the water up and into the filter. You can hide the filter under some shrubs like I did, or actually decorate and plant ontop of it.
