dead. He's DEAD!?

He was fine this morning, water is perfectly fine, been doing same as usual and then just about 5 minutes ago I found him on the bottom, still alive and I watched him die. He was fine about an hour ago. I'm hoping he'll prove his name and miraculously jump alive, but deep down I know it's not gonna happen. I'm very sad. and disappointing. I'm sad he never got to hang out with "the gang."

Miss you, Houdini. Rest In Peace.

all 20 from original batch died, day by day, i kept airstone running, even though it was slow, i guess it slowly drowned them . :( .

I now have batch of around 200 fry, 7 days old now, doing good. Hope atleast some make it to months.

This post makes me wonder, do platy fry have color when born?
in my experience with my Platy fry, yes they are born with color... mine will have a slight orange tinge to their face, these are the ones who get eatin the most unless i catch them and my silver fry have a better chance of survival because their translucent til at least 2/3 weeks old, at about 3 weeks they get darker in colour (by this time their too big to be eatin :)
