I really need some help on my first nano reef. I just bought this 6 gal. nanocube from a garage sale, and I got a good deal, to. Everything works. and it has a 50/50, 10000K, 24 watt bulb, which, from what I hear, would be ok for a hardy mushroom or two. the problem is, the only replacement bulbs I can find anywhere that are the right size are only 18watts! I don`t know the brand of nanocube, either, so that doesn`t help at all. could any one help recommend some fish, corals, etc. for this tank, and really just help me period? Especially if you can find a 9 inch, 50/50 , 24 watt replacement bulb.

It looks like the maximum for the 6 gallon is an 18-watt bulb. Wattage is based on lamp size.
These are the JBJ replacement lamps: Compact Fluorescent Aquarium Lighting: Nano Cube Replacement Straight Pin Compact Fluorescent Bulbs
You'll need about 6 or 7 lbs of live rock for that tank. The most you can really put in there is one small fish (max. adult size of maybe 2 or 3 inches, at the most). Mushrooms do well in those tanks. You could probably do some zoanthids, too.
