My 40 stretch hex and DIY fake reef!

No fish yet, just put the sand, and water in on Saturday. I made this fake reef from a few fake coral ornaments from LFS and some Texas holey rock. Its actually in 3 pieces, but hard to tell in the pictures. I used aquarium safe silicone. It says to let it cure for 48 hours before using in the aquarium. Tomorrow, it should be safe to put in the tank! I cant wait to see how it looks! I'm hoping to get the look of a SW tank with the easier maintenance of a FW tank. Still undecided on which fish to go with. I'm open to suggestions!

Wow, neat idea! I have a SW hex, check it out! Ive always loved the look of a hex personally, there just a PITA to stock and decorate. Good luck, i cant wait to see more!

Killifish! they are colorful kinda like SW fish.
