I'm curious...is that Live Rock and Sand? any plans for corals or more involved inverts in the future? is there enough lighting to create sufficient algal growth for the crabs/snail? or are you suplementing their diet with algae wafers/seaweed/etc?

It didn't cost me all that much to set up the tank. The darker rocks are live but the sand is not. My LFS suggested I have enough algae growing for the snails and crabs...but I will ask them if I need supplements for them. As far as corals, I won't go that route because my lighting is not sufficient for them.

im sure there is easily $400 in the tank...equipment alone is probably gont to cost that much...throw in live rock and fish and you are going to spend close to a grand

oh: and the average pretty, colorful saltwater fish is more like $40 or $50, not $3, $5, or $10...$100 for a clown seems steep, maybe for a pair I might consider going that high depending on how rare the fish is
