a few years back i pulled out a decent sized piece of coral from the beach in Mianmi. i was wondering if i could put it in my slatwater tank because its a neat piece.

You mean a coral skeleton or its live still? If its a skeleton it should be just fine, I would give it a bath in a water/vinegar and or a water/bleach solution. (Dont mix the two solutions together) You can boil it to if you have a pot large enough but some times boiling will turn the skeleton black so I dont do it that way.

i mean ive had it for about 2 years now. i just put it on my bedroom shelf because its reall cool lokking. so yeah i guess you can consider it a skeleton since its been out of water for so long. i cant wait to add it to the tank

Yes that would be fine to add and it will also help keep the Calcium in the tank more stable.
