lighting my five (or 5.5) gallon tank

I want to get a hood and light for my tank, right now it has a piece of cardboard on it to keep stuff from getting in (no fish in there). But i am having trouble finding a flourescant light and hood. Feel free to give me any ideas right now. I am considering a incandescant one but no flourescant is better. The top measurements are 8"x16". Thanks!

You can use an incandescent, but replace the bulb with a compact flourescent (usually spiral). A 13 watt draw will kick out 40 watts of light.

any hardware store or walmart will have them.

and when they say 13w=40w you are getting 13w of flourecent light not 40w.

Yah tonys right a 13 watt flouresnt may have an equal out put to a 40 watt incadesent.
