Help! What is this?

I have a 10 gallon tank in my daughter's room and the other day we found this in the tank under the lid. What is it? Now there are 2!

they are eggs of some kind. what kinda fish/inverts are in the tank?

Those would be snail eggs. My Mystery Snail laid something similar to that a long time ago, i had 10 million baby snails not long after.

Thank you! we do have one snail in our tank & 3 mollies, I guess I'll be on the lookout for the babies!

be careful. snails can over run a tank. but thankfully they are very sensative to chemicals and if you take the one snail out before doing this, you can use algae killing chemicals to kill snails. i have done that before. i find tetra algae control to work very well for this. it even says not to use in tanks with inverts. so if the tank does end up getting overrun with snails that is an option.
