Can someone help me? I have a new fish and it's a Blue Dwarf Gourami and I've had him for about a week. Suddenly, starting today, he has been staying the the top of the water and trying to get air. But we just put in an aerator and he hasn't changed but gotten worse?
He isn't swimming and he's like...How to explain this...Leaning against the leaves of one of the plants. He is only moving his front fins and nothing else. It doesn't look like he has an infection in his gills and he's been fine until today. He barely moves around anymore and he used to move around the tank all the time with my other fish. And none of the others are looking sick so I don't know.
I don't know what else to do. It can't be oxygen or water levels because there is little to no ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate!

I have a 10 gallon tank and there is also a black and red platy and a Dalmatian molly.

Here's and image of what he's doing
