guppy dying from stress ?

Hi,

My guppy is pregnant, and I put her in the breeder.

After 10 minutes she started swimming nervously, then fell on one side.

I took the fish out of the breeder, and now she is lying on the ground,
trying to swim, as she has a stroke.

What happened ?

Hmmmmmmmm...could be from stress. I never use a breeder net with my livebearers. Moving them and the stress it causes can cause them to hold the fry, which isn't good for them.

Another possibility is that she's having problems with the delivery. I had a deformed female guppy that got pregnant and wasn't able to deliver the fry because of her deformity. She died because of it. Not saying your girl is deformed, but it could be that something is preventing her from having the fry and it's causing her other problems.
