growth of an unkown snail in my aquarium

today i just saw my aquarium and there i have 25 baby mollies and with them i saw a very small snail who is unkown and i dont know from where he came .please tell me an automatic growing of snails is it normal ,has it ever happened to you till now ,tell me what to do?

They can actually be kind of fun to watch. . . just keep an eye on them so they don't take over your tank.

Get a small loach to help control population if you plan on keeping thiem. They may already be in your filter, so removing them may prove pointless. They are the rabbits of the underwater world. I have a Speckled Loach that controlled my TONS AND TONS of snails. So well, that as far as I can tell, he's had them wiped out for 3+ months. Now the hubby wants to keep a snail tank to have them on hand for the loach as "treats"... *sigh*
