arcab.. unfortunately, (from my knowledge) there aren't any fishes that can scrape that stuff off the surface.  I have a tough time getting that stuff off my 6g, but there are hardly any growing on my 10g.  I think it depends on the balance of nutrients and stuff.

Your best bet is probably regular maintenance and not under/overfeed your plants.

hi guys,

i seem to be having a problem with green algae on the glass of the tank. It's hard to scrub off and it's starting to block my view of my tank. doh!

any suggestions on how to get rid of it? do ottocats eat green algae? i have about  of them in my 29gallon. hmm....

doh. i guess it's back go good ole' scrubbing for me. sigh. the strange thing..i don't have any fish in there i need to feed (otto and amanoshrimps). maybe it's cause of the lighting and c02. (110Watts for a 29gallon with 1bubble/sec of c02).
