I lost my big Pleco today. He was one of the first inhabitants of my 55 gal tank. I left for the weekend and on Friday evening my wife noticed him attatched to the glass near the top of the tank that evening and not looking too well. She said that some of the smaller fish were even pestering him. She fed him an algea wafer and he seemed to go for it so she thought all was well again. But this morning I found him on the bottom of the tank. He must have passed in the night.
I don't know if I want to get another pleco for that tank just yet. He was a fixture in there and really had his own personality (that of a crotchety old geezer).
