hello,

I just got a 48" shoplight from someone (with tanks etc).  that doesn't work.  Guy says the ballast is fried or something.

hmm.   but he did give me a new ballast.   it says it's an electronic ballast.  I was looking at it, it has a bunch of coloured wires on it and a picture that says it can drive 4 tubes.

this is only a 2 tube shop light

Can I fix this ??

I can provide pictures, of the ballast, so you guys can see the diagram on it.  (manufacturer name, model number etc etc)

thanks .  :D

Is it a regular shop light like the ones you find in garages? It's cheaper to just buy a new one if thats the case $9.95 @ home depot uses 2 48 inch tubes. I've also seen ballists there if you need to find a replacement they run from 15 bucks and up. Hope this helps if not sorry ...

actually I was at home depot a few weeks ago pricing ballasts and I am better off to buy a new shoplight, they are both almost the same price.  difference of $3 I think.

but I will use the old reflector, it's very good.
