I just ordered a new digital camera. When I first got into photography in '89 I picked up a used Canon AE-1 SLR. The next SLR I bought was a Rebel X; at first I wasn't too impressed with those automatic cameras with the plastic bodies...wave of the future, y'know. The grew on me and I enjoyed them, then film cameras went the way of the dinosaur. (Actually, I did a wedding a few months ago and shot six rolls).
I almost bought a Canon EOS Rebel XS yesterday for $600 but found one on-line for $479. Picked up a nice bag and some other items for what I would have spent yesterday.
Maybe one of these days I'll upgrade to an EOS 50 or something of that caliber. But for now I'll be happy tanking some quality shots of my tanks and posting 'em here.
