ive noticed my wilds are a lot more aggressive that the domestics but the only time i really see aggression with the domestics is when i am watching them or feeding.

discus need high tempertures and most fish cant handle them and the fact they can be a bit skittish doesnt help.
i have seen large discus kept with gars and knives to them being kept with rainbows and livebearers. but you have to be really picky with the type of fish you keep with it and i wouldnt recommend doing anything other than tetras and maybe some SA dwarf cichlids for starters.

um I don't think that is a good guideline. You can't keep a discus in a 10G tank...

I think a 55 is sort of a minimum for adults, and they need to be in groups of what, three or more? Something like that.

Anyways, I am not sure. I guess maybe if you kept 5 in a 55G then yeah that's 10G per discus, but that is the starting point I think.
