Nice tank!

Any side effects on your livebearers after you added CO2? I'm thinking about adding CO2 in my swordtail tank and I don't know whether it will be too acidic for them.

No, affect from CO2 on fish as far as I can tell, it has helped get the pH down though, and I know that has been a good thing.
All fish (guppies, platies and offsrping of each) are doing great.
They all have a voracious. I still worry about overfeeding but they always swarm to the top when I open the lid awaiting their feast. I have added a piece of zucchini the last few days, I think the Golden Chinese Algea eater and the Danios have been feasting on it.

Great News:
the plants I ordered online at aquaticplantdepot.com arrived in the mail and are in the tank. I love the big sword, the little sword and the water sprite, wife likes the Lilaeopsis.
I'll take a pic of the remodel and post it soon.

Very nice tank! I would love to see the updated pics.

Don't you jsut love aquaticplantdepot.com ? Sherry is so nice, and she refunded the plants they didn't send quickly with little problems. I would go nowhere else for my plants.

babies

My guppy had some babies that I had to get out of my main tank because she was eating them. I have a couple of questions;

How do you maintain the breeder (water changes, food)?

How long before they are put into the reg tank again?

How long does it take for them to mature?

Tank looks awesome though!

it's a floating breeder, so tank water flows through it.

I haven't bought any special food for them, I crush some flakes for them.
Though the babies I didn't seperate seem to be growing and faster.
We kept 2 from the first brood for about a month before releasing into tank.
They will be safe as long as the are too big for others to eat. (they are pretty quick too, and if you have places for them to hide they should be safe)
