came home from work. saw that my c02 was pumping like crazy into my tank (i think it was like 5 bubbles per second or faster) looked in my tank..all my amano shrimps were dead. i had 7 ottocats in there..all upside down. so i thought the worst..fished out the shrimps..and when i was fishing out the ottocats, they started to swim (upside down, sideways). i quickly took them and put them in my 10gallon tank. I thought i saw that only 3 were barely alive..but upon closer inspection, i noticed that ALL of them were barely alive.

So now they're in my 10gallon tank. hopefully they'll pull through. what a bummer. time for a new regulator or checkvalve.

sorry to hear that arcab.

you were pretty lucky to find out in time to rescue the otos.. Hope they will pull through.. IME, they are quite the sensitive fishes.

I hope you don't get an algae outbreak as well... the dead shrimp must have leeched lotsa phosphates in the water.
