I am looking at buying a canister filter.

I'll looking at either a Eheim pro, or a Hot Pro Magunum with the two bio wheel.

I'm trying to get alot of bacteria, I need them, I have really dirty fish, I'm going to put it on a 55 gal tank.  I was wondering, I was reading up on the Eheim, and it said you don't disturb the bacteria, when you change out the media, and clean the filters.

But the bio wheels, you don't change either, so I'm not sure which way to go, I kinda like the vacuum cleaning idea, of the hot magnum thought.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be good, hoping to buy either one rather soon.

If you can afford it go for the Eheim. They are really great filters and do a good job on any tank.

The hot magnum is good though. I suggest the other though. ;D

Eheim are very good. Another good caniter is the Filstar. Both imo are better than the Hot Magnum.
