What are you using (camera, lens, etc)? I picked up a Canon 85mm lense a few weeks ago that did some nice close-ups with great bokah.

Morning tom, I was using a canon 30D with a 60mm macro lens. Most taken between f2.4 though f4. The lotus pic I did use a tripod f8 iso100 1/50.
Thats a great lens for just about everything. Sharp as a tack the only this is you have to get really close when doing macro because of the focal length.

The 30D is a great camera. Thinking about buying something similar, but might settle for the T2i until I can get a bill or two paid off. Yeah, the 85mm is pretty sharp. Didn't buy it for a macro, since I rarely take close up shots; bought it for concert photography. instead.
