bamboo shrimp of petco

[itchy armpits]

i got some bamboo shrimp from petco. at $5 each, i only got 2, that and the fact that i didnt have much room.

okay, from what i can gather so far bamboo shrimp are filter feeders. they will filter plankton or other foods out of the water. so i should feed them some kind of invert food, like the ones for saltwater filter feeders, or some kind of fry food. well thats all i know!!!

should i add some salt?
what kind of food do you suggest?
is a sand substrate necessary?
are there any other special needs?
how do i sex them?

all the info i could find was very limited or was a cooking recipe, lol. any info you guys have will be very much appreciated!!! thank you in advance!

It says they can live on bottom feeder pellets with occasional daphnia.
