Are my Cherry Barbs laying eggs?

Last night I was watching my Cherry Barbs (a male named Ichigo and a female named Eidolon) and they were swimming around really fast together and sometimes brushing up against each other.
I think they were laying eggs but I don't really see any eggs on my plants/gravel. Probably because I don't know much about how the eggs look other than, well, they are laid in string-like formations.
Someone else on this forum (don't remember the username, sorry) said that he/she saw the same thing and so he/she scooped up the two Cherry Barbs and put them in a breeder net for a while as they laid eggs (until they started acting stressed).
I am wondering if I should do what this user did- but I'm not too sure. What do you think would be best? And if you can, please tell me what Cherry Barb eggs look like! =w="

THANK YOU!!! *thumbsups
