General Notes: The Purple Tang is a very attractive fish. Depending an it's natural habitat the colors will range from a deep purple to a brown on the body with a bright yellow caudal fin. It is a relatively peaceful fish. Purple tangs are good community fish and have a good temperment. However they are aggressive to other tangs, as are all other tangs.

Pros:
Cons:	Can be aggressive, also considered an ich magnet

This is one of the hardiest tangs. It is a good beginners fish, tolerates not so perfect water conditions and eats well. The main negative aspect about this fish is that it usually is very aggressive. Minimum tank size...50 gallons.
