Description: Compatibility: Reef Safe
Maximum Size: 4-5 inches
Minimum Tank Size: 25 gallon
Temperature: 78-82F
Diet: Sand Sifter
Level of care: Easy/Medium
General Notes: The Blue-Cheek Goby is easy to identify by the neon blue streak on the side of the head starting just below the eye. They are usually found in pairs sifting thru the sand. This behavior is very useful in the aquarium as it help keep the sand free of contaminents and food particles.

Pros: Bottom Cleaner, funny behavior, friendly will all fishies
Cons: Put sand / rocks everywhere

I would give it a 10 if this fish wasn\'t throwing so much sand on my corals and didn\'t crap so much.
This \"guy\" suck sand and filter it before he throws it out by his gills..insane to watch! It\'s a fish big enough to clean/oxygenate all the substrate. Loves to swim close to the rock, dig holes to check if there\'s still \"food\". Beautiful eyes and warrior stripes.
This goby sleeps with my firefish..seriously at first i said to myself \" adios firefishy \", but no..they actually are in the same bed, they never fought.

Another positive aspect is that he\'s hardly intimidated due to his size. Don\'t know about juvenile because he\'s an adult.
