Pros:
curious, active, good community tank fish
Cons:
fins can easily get clobbered, can get very agressive as they age
Angelfish are like small dogs. They will follow you around (at least as far as the tank will allow ), beg for food, and swim around your hands if you have them in the tank. 6\" may be the body size, but with fins in good condtion, these guys can take up 12\" or more in an aquarium. They need more vertical space than horizontal. They really appreciate live plants. They\'ll eat almost anything, and commonly fight my bottom feeders for thier food. Small fish like guppies and neons will eventually become \'angelfish snacks\'...but that\'s usually not until the angelfish gets closer to the 6\" size.

Pros:

beautiful fish, don\'t swim so fast you get dizzy
Cons:
aggressive

Awesome fish to have, when they breed they could get aggressive to other fish and other angels. They also like a really planted tank and some protien in their diets. Also a nice tall tank is probably better because they get really tall after a while and like to still have room to swim up and down the tank.

Pros:

Nice appearance, \"people\" fish
Cons:

Aggressive towards each other

Definitely recognize their people, and will do their best to convince you that they never get fed, even when you know you fed them 10 minutes ago. Seem to get along with any non-aggressive fish. Will eat anything, and particularly like frozen. Mine recently discovered that I use bottom-feeder pellets, and they learned to follow the cories around and steal the pellets from them when they find one. I think the black, white, and marbled ones look the best... I\'ve got a mottled gray one who just isn\'t as pretty.

angelsfish are very nice fish. i especially like black ones. they eat anything which will fit in its mouth and are never full. they get to know there owners and beg for food. they need a very tall tank to have lots of fun in and also like to have other angels with them not just 1.

out of all the fish I have my two angels are the definite king and queen of the tank, these fish are fun to watch and feed. They are really more like a dog or cat, when begging for food. I will always have angels in my tank.

I love my angels! Wonderful to watch the graceful flow...they fit in well with other tankmates in my tank. Just be careful in what you choose to house them with.

Elegant, unique, lots and lots of character.

Cons:

Hard to find a good one, a little bit unpredictable as far as aggression.
I had been planning my Amazon tank for a long time, and angels were always intended to be the centerpiece species.
The sad truth was that I had to go through over half a dozen fish before I finally found one that survived the acclimation. The reason for this is twofold - one, I wanted a small, juvenile fish so as to make him/her truly "mine." (Younger angels aren't as hardy as older ones.) And two, because most of the angels sold at the normal consumer level are basically "junk" angels; which are so inbred that they have lost quite a bit of their quality.
Frustrated to the point of either planning on mail ordering an expensive "breeding" quality pair or just giving up altogether, I happened upon one angel at PetsMart which I immediately knew was a good one. This is where I share some advice - always go for an angel with some red in their eyes. This means they are closer to the wild type and therefore a lot stronger than the overbred junk angels. But it also means they're a little more aggressive and territorial as well.
I knew this one was perfect...so much so that even after the fish catcher dropped him on the floor, I still insisted on taking him, much to the guy's surprise.
My assumption paid off. I now have had this fish for over six months and he shows more character, more colors, and more fiesty temperment than I could have imagined. Not only did he survive a drop to the floor at PetsMart, but he easily survived acclimation as well. He's now king of his tank - active, colorful and with lots of character. He swims right to the front everytime someone goes past the tank. Always ready to eat.
So the bottom line is this: make sure you're getting a high quality angel (take advantage of life guarantees like PetsMart offers, and know what to look for in the individual fish - stay as close to the wild type as you can) and make sure they are going to live with other suitable species in a well-established tank.
Once those criteria are met, you will be rewarded with a wonderful fish.

interesting breeders.
Cons:
can be aggressive when breeding.

beautiful fish.... very family like when breeding. it is great to watch them take care of the eggs. very routine with caring for them. but also very paranooid. they can be aggresive and chase other fish away from the egg site. once you buy a couple of angels, you will forever have them (maybe not the same ones...)
great fish.
