General Notes: The French angel is surprisingly enough found in coastal waters off of France. As with most full sized angels the French has very distinct juvenile and adult markings. During the color change to adulthood, the yellow juvenile stripes are shed, and are replaced by yellow patches that begin behind the gills and continue to the tail.
