Description: Compatibility: Aggressive
Maximum Size: 5-6"
Minimum Tank Size: 40 Gallons
Temperature: 78-81F
pH: 7.8 - 8.6
Diet: Omnivore
Level of care: Easy
General Notes: One of the most common "Mbuna" you will find on the market. This species is fairly easy to care for and breed. In the aquarium both sexes of this fish tend to be bright orange. Though there have been reports of Males being a powder blue color.

Like others of its kind, this cichlid prefers a rocky habitat and can be fed a variety of flakes and pellets. In the wild these fish eat aufwuchs plankton.

House these fish with other cichlids of the same temperment, water requirements, and diet requirements. Also keep a single male per 2-3 female ratio. These fish can get aggressive.
