Bumblebee

Bumblebee.jpg
supersize

Description: Compatibility: Only with other aggressive/simi-aggressive africans. A good choice are the "Mbuna" from Lake Malawi.
Maximum Size: Up to 8 Inches
Minimum Tank Size: 40 gallons
Temperature: 78 - 82°F
Diet: Omnivore
Level of care: Easy
General Notes: A very aggressive cichlid that can quickly obtain dominance in the tank and should not be taken lightly. The Bumblebee cichlid is a very common LFS find that will mix well into most Mbuna oriented and african cichlid setups. A large rocky habitat should be provided with numerous caves.

Males will grow out of their common black on yellow coloration into a more blackened or dark pattern as they age and gain more dominance in the tank. Females should sustain their juvenile coloration
