Description: Size: 24"
Temperature: 68-84F

This by far, the largest of the labryinth fish, and therefore requires a large aquarium. Despite of its big size, it is quite peaceful and can be kept with other bigger fish. Unlike other fish this fish is more aggresive when young and then seems to calm down as it ages. Breeding is fairly easy, but would require a huge aquarium, the male builds a bubble nest and then guards the eggs until they hatch. Where it originates it is considered a delicacy and is part of the locals diet.
