This arrowana is very common, but not as popular as the Red Arrowana and the Golden Arrowana. It is not a protected species and can easily be bought. It has a very large appetite and is more tolerant of water conditions.Very aggressive not recommended it be kept with any species other than its own. When it is large it will eat anything it site live fish, insects, frogs and may also take dead food.Found in the Amazon Basin. These fish will stay at the top of the tank and rarely go down to the bottom. Can be kept with one or 2 of its own species and it likes to be alone also. Also known as the silver dragon fish. Not recommended for beginners.
