Description: Size: 36"
Temperature: 70-84F

As a juvenile, snakeheads are greenish in color and have a large bright red line running across their sides. Snakeheads are considered aggressive and although they will not instigate fights, they will be able to defend themselves. Snakeheads have a special organ that enable them to breathe air, allowing them to stay in stagnant pools of water for long periods of time. They are powerful jumpers and a stong cover is needed. All species are voracious eaters and will sometimes kill more than they can eat Snakeheads can be taught to eat pellets and cut beefheart.
