Description: Size: 1.5"
Temperature: 65-84F

They are transparent so you can see the food go through them. They have four arms with tiny pincher claws on the end, and they use all four of their arms simultaneously to pick up and eat bits of food from the gravel. Children love to watch them and think Ghost Shrimp are great. Ghost Shrimp quarrel and spar with each other. It's fun to have a few, but when there are too many Ghost Shrimp, the bigger ones will make the smaller ones miserable. Put 3 or 4 in a large fish bowl, 6 to 8 in a ten gallon aquarium, and about one Ghost Shrimp per gallon in larger aquariums. Ghost Shrimp can live for a year or two. Female Ghost Shrimp grow to about 1.5, and males grow to about 1.

Pros: great starting shrimp, cheap!
Cons: hard to find if you have light-colored gravel

I bought several of these shrimp for about 33 cents each! they clean up left over food on the bottom great. just make sure you don't have light-colored gravel, otherwise it will be next to impossible to find them!

Pros: great shrimp
Cons: fish might eat em

Really cheap, can keep algae at bay. It will not harm plants. Make sure you keep it with smaller fish, bigger fish may eat them. Eats anything it can find

Pros: fun to watch them scavenge for food
Cons: hard to find, fish eat them sometimes

ghost shrimp are very cool, and very cheap. i buy them to eat leftover bloodworms. good scavengers that are always looking for food. its fun to try to find them all.

Cons: Hard to find at times, and fish eat them

These shrimp are excellent! But be careful, fish will eat them when you least expect it.

Pros: cute, cheap, fun to watch
Cons: stress easily, likes good water conditions

These shrimp are so cute. I've never had any luck with them though. I found them to be very sensitive to water conditions. Definately not recommended for a tank unfinished in the cycle process.
