Description:

This is a good newt for beginners, because they're active and playful, small, inexpensive, and commonly available. If you're going to get one, make sure that it is a true fire-belly because some petstores have decided to start labeling any newt with an orange or red belly a fire-belly newt.

Pros:	very easy to take care of and you can hold them
