Description:
|
Lighting Level: Moderate
Placement: Any
Difficulty: Easy
Water Flow: Moderate
Temperament: Peaceful
Endemic Area: Fiji
Other Info: A LPS species with a stalk-like skeletal structure with star-like, fleshy, round polyps at the end with a variety of colors. Colors may include green, yellow, brown, and teal, often with radiant translucence. Due to its peaceful with small sweeper tentacles and general hardiness, it is often good for beginners. Since it is a LPS species, it requires decent water movement along with calcium and trace elements to maintain its skeletal integrity. New polyps often split from existing ones and result in a branch like skeletal structure. Major nutrition is provided by the hosted zooxanthellae and may be feed brine shrimp and plankton at nighttime.
