Description: Compatibility: Peaceful, community
Maximum Size:1.5"
Minimum Tank Size: 10g
Temperature: 72-84F
Diet:omnivorous
Level of care: Easy
General Notes: This fish is often referred to as "second fiddle" to the neon tetra, though they seem to be a bit more hardy.

The body is clear with a bright red, metallic stripe running from eye to tail; albino varieties are readily available.

This peaceful fish prefers a planted tank and shows colors best when in one. Also, they thrive best (and look best) in soft, acidic water.

Glowlights are schooling fish and should not be kept in groups less than 5.

Provides great contrast to neon tetras.

Males are slimmer than females. Decent choice for a beginner aquarist.
