Description: Lighting Level: Moderate to High
Placement: Any
Difficulty: Easy
Water Flow: Medium
Temperament: Peaceful
Endemic Area: Indonesia, certain Pacific Areas – Tonga
Other Info: Color and morphology slightly differ between these species. Color shades may include tan, green and brown with white or gold polyps. Morphology of these species resembles mushrooms with a stalk rising up to the cap. With age these caps develop a more convoluted appearance. This species can produce some toxins which may be damaging to other reef creatures. Leather corals are often another excellent species for beginners. It can be fed brine shrimp, plankton, or filter-foods to supplement its photosynthetic nutrition by zooxanthellae.

Cons:

sarco are cool, then they get big and kind of suck and look ugly, unless you like to cut them up into pieces and sell them....
