penguin

Description: Compatibility: Peaceful Community Fish
Maximum Size: 3 inches
Minimum Tank Size: 10g
Temperature: 75-82F
Diet: Omnivore
Level of care: Easy
General Notes: Although this fish isnt as colorful as a cardinal or neon is sure does have a striking appearance. This tetra has a body coloration that resembles a hockey stick. Overall this fish is easy to care for and breeds in the same manner as all egg-scattering tetras. Another unique characteristic about this fish is that it swims in a slight upward angle. This fish can also be known as a Blackline Tetra, or Hocky Stick Tetra. Like other tetras, Penguin Tetras like to be in a school of their own kind.

Pros: silver and black coloring, peaceful,
Cons: not very active

The penguin tetra is a cool fish to have. I had a couple and they were awesome. They usually stay in the middle or near the surface of the water. They also look great with other tetras. If they were more active fish they would get a ten but I will give them an 8.

Pros: Array
Cons: Array

i actually just bought a few of these fish recently to add to my cardinal tetra's they are WAY more active and very fun to watch. They play this chasing game with each other that is kind of like playing tag. its pretty funny. Very neat design too
