zebraoto

Description: Compatibility: Peaceful Community Fish
Maximum Size: 2 inches
Minimum Tank Size:
Temperature: 75-82F
Diet: primarily algae, supplement with algae wafers, zucchini, cucumber and other fiberous veggies if necessary
Level of care: Moderate
General Notes: This otto is considered to be more attractive than others of its species. It has a body pattern that resembles a tiger or zebra and does a great job cleaning cleaning up algae just like its counterparts. But just like Otocinclus vittatus this fish is just as sensitive and should only be introduced to a well established tank to assure some algae and a stable environment. They also should be kept in groups for their own comfort, but can be kept alone. Also known as a Tiger Oto.

Pros: PRETTY!! Larger than common oto, gets along with everyone
Cons: like all otos, can be very sensative

Nice alternative to the common oto. They are bigger and seem to be a bit heartier...They eat algae like gangbusters, and get along with all fish. Mine are very active, love to school, and I see them out cleaning off plants and the glass all the time.
