blackfinshark

Description: Compatibility: Semi-aggressive
Maximum Size: 12 inches
Minimum Tank Size: 70G
Temperature: 74-79F
Diet: Feed this fish sinking catfish pellets, bloodworms, high quality algae wafers and other types of live or frozen foods.
Level of care: Moderate
General Notes: Also known as the Black Fin Shark, the Columbian Shark is a catfish which will grow quite large in an aquarium. It may also be referred to as Jordan's Catfish or the West American Cat Shark. The Columbian Shark has a high fin and long "whiskers" that gives it a classic catfish appearance. This fish likes to have more salt in its water as it gets older, some have reported keeping adults in marine tanks. They also become more territorial and aggressive as it gets larger/older. Can keep alone or in groups of its own kind...keep with tankmates of simlilar size, or they may disappear.

Pros:
Cons:

I think this is a brackish fish. I have tried to keep them twice, both times they where dead within 48 hours. It is a cool looking fish, when it is alive, what with its silver/black body. Get it if you have a (big) brackish tank otherwise avoid.

Pros: fun to watch
Cons: hard to care for

I had this fish for only 2 weeks before he died on me..A very fun and beautiful fish for catfish lovers. Sadly didnt have much luck with this fish and seems hard to care for.
