Pros:

Great beginner fish, active, playful
|
|
Cons:
|
Not as attractive as some other cories
|
|
These are great fish for a beginner, as they are hardy as well as fun to watch. They are great at picking up scraps of flake food the other fish didn't eat, but will also enjoy shrimp pellets or algae wafers. They won't clean your tank, but they do make a fun addition, with their constant swimming. They are a very peaceful fish, and can be intimidated or attacked by more aggressive fish. A cave or other hiding place will make them feel secure in your tank.

Covered with cartilage armor, the bronze is the hardiest cory. Most small fish can\'t bother these guys. I\'ve seen my corys attacked and they plain don\'t care. They also do a great job at cleaning leftover flakes, but they also enjoy algae discs.
Albino form, which tends to be slightsly smaller, is often easier to find than regular bronze.

i've got a pair of albinos (peking and moo shu), and they are just the greatest thing since sliced bread. they are incredibly hardy, very active and fun to watch, get along with their tankmates very well, prevent hairy food flake syndrome, nibble my driftwood clean... and who could resist those cute little fu manchu faces?

great fish, specks of green, cleans bottom well

|
Cons:

there are cories with more color

They keep the bottom of your tank really clean. Won't harm any other fish or invertebrate unless its really tiny or really slow. Cleans much faster than snails or shrimp but won't eat algae. Besides, they're just so cute

I really enjoy having this fish. I would say I favor the albino version better, having an all white appearance. When first introduced, they may school by each other, but after a few days they roam around seperately.
What I like about these fish is that they're really peaceful. Like I heard someone mention, it's like they're in a different world from the other fish. With mine particularily, they always would rest on the same rock together.

My wife has had this one since around 1995, and the old fart just keeps on swimming.
He is my favorite. I just have to give the old guy a lot of respect for living through some of my 4-week water changes!

I bought 5 or 6 of these about 3 years ago for my 75G planted FW tank... now I have somewhere around 20 of these guys!
My wife and I love them swimming around the tank, esp. when they get a little frisky after a water change....
with so many in the tank, they shoal and play all day and night. It's fun having so many sizes/generations of fish in one tank!
Cute and fun fish!
