Description:
|
Compatibility: Reef Safe
Maximum Size: 4-5 inches
Minimum Tank Size: 10 gallon
Temperature: 78-80F
Diet: accepts all types of food
Level of care: Easy
General Notes: The False Percula Clown or Common Clown is another popular choice in the marine aquarium trade. The bright colors and markings, along with the clowns symbiotic relationship with anemones, make this fish a good choice for the community tank. *note* Clownfish do not REQUIRE an anemone to survive.

Pros:
|
good beginner\'s fish

|
Cons:

This is a great beginner\'s fish because it is very forgiving of less than perfect water quality and is very easy to care for. Nowadays, almost all of these fish are tank bred and raised so there is no strain on wild populations. They are \"funny\" and kids love \'em.

I love my two false percs. Their the fist saltwater fish I have taken care of and so far they are doing great. I think if your starting a saltwater tank and are looking for the perfect begginer fish the false perc is the fish your looking for! I can watch them for hours swimming and their movements, there so entertaining!

Well...perfect fish for all. Everyone loves it, no special care is required, can be hosted by anemones or corals, is friendly with other fishies, isn\'t a great swimmer so it\'s funny to watch this fish \"dance\". Can be handfed, can reproduce easily in tanks, has a good life expectancy and doesn\'t costs a lot.
BUY TANK RAISED SPECIMENS PLEASE..they live longer too.

a clownfish or 2 is a great addition for any reef tank. they are easy to care for and are quite hardy once they get used to your tank.
normally the max to add is 2 per tank as they can get territorial. you might have some luck with adding more but most of the time you'll usually end up with 2. they eat pretty much anything you put in and their interaction with an anemone is a sight to see (note: clownfish do not need an anemone despite popular beliefs).
