we bought 8 gold fish and one black moore and placed them in north west corner of home, since I heard that it dies with negative energy, I ensured that no outsiders be invited over, however a month later we had surprise visitors who saw the tank and one died instantly, eversince all are going one by one, they were very dear to me and I named them beautifully, now I am left with 3 and the blackmoore too has gone, hope their soal rests in peace, We change water and clean tank monthly, give tonic and stress meds whenever required, treat the water with med provided by the shop and feed them and check temp timely, where are we going wrong and what is the significance! pl help, anyone...

I want to understand how an aquarium or fish tank is going to affect our life. Is it not going to increase a new task of your daily routine and extra money to be spent.

I have 9 gold fishes in the aquarium. 8 gold and 1 black. I bought these fishes 9 months ago. There was no problem with these fishes uptill now. The fish tank is also serviced once in a month. But yesterday my three fishes died - two gold and 1 black. What could be reason for this. What does this indicate. Does this bring any kind of bad luck.

Hi !,

I have heard that sharks are not to be kept in the aqaurium in the house as per feng shui, is it true that they bring bad luck. I have a 100 litre tank facing my main door & i have a variety of fish a few of them being subankin gold (5nos), gold (1nos), Black moor gold (2nos), loche (3 nos), Rainbow shark (red tailed) (2 nos), Silver shark (2 nos), koi carp (2 nos) & a sucker fish (shark again). If raising sharks is a concern then i might actually trade my fishes with a friend who has a bigger tank & similiar species of fish & would probably get a whole new species of cichlids. Please advise.

HI Nilesh,
I really like the way you care for your fishes. I am sure my suggestion is very late for you now, but dont worry it will help you in future.

Firstly treat the dead fish with respect. dont put your hand or spoons or any other objects to pick them, use the fish net , remove them and take nice clean newspaper wrap it up, put in clean plastic cover and then dispose it.

The fishes may die for various reasons : unhealty water is main reason, meaning..the water might look clean..but the ammonia will be increasing high,,,this is also by excess food given to them.so dont over feed them...that may cause their death.

Is it true that fish tanks should not be place in the bed room?

I currently have a 2ft tank with puffer fishes and another 1ft tank with a purple jewel cichilid.

How does it affect the feng shui and what i can do to balance it?
