Post Aftering hanging around, I decided to say hello

Seriously, this is my favorite website in the world.  It's like a community and I love what this site is, what it looks like, and how community based it is!!!  I've been hanging around this site for about a month, and now I'm a gonna say HELLO!

Before I bought all of my fish, I checked the profiles and what people thought of them, and if I ever have had a problem, I have used the message boards to ask my question!  This website is GREAT!  Or should I say, this COMMUNITY is great.

I am a 19 year old college student and I just got into the hobby 1 month ago.  My mother always told me "no fish, they're a lot of work" but I dont think that they're that much work at all!  They're great!!!  I love my fish and my tank, and its not hard to take care of.

My girlfriend isn't so interested, even though I named the two glassfish after hers and my middle names!!!

Ok, here's my setup:

One 10 gallon tank with lots of happy fish.  No live plants yet(although I'm interested in doing that, although if I'm moving back home every summer, thats no good)...some of my fish include my betta, King Bartholomew and my four cories (2 albino and 2 spotties)  I also have a few zebra danios and one is REALLY big and the others are medium sized...they grew a lot in one month for 69 cent fish...

Great hobby, great animals, great website, great community!

Thanks to everyone who's helped me!  Have a great DAY!!!

Welcome to the tank.  Hope there's enough info here to get you involved in your local MTS support group.

HI, I also smiley* registered with this site just recently as well and it really is a great community! I agree fish keeping aint so much work after you get past the setup phase. I also have 2 zebra danios that i bought along with 5 other danios that were called "long blue fin" danios. They chase each other around in my 33 g all day along with some other species including 3 panda cories which i truly adore! Good luck with your new and most interesting hobby!
