Default Octopus Needlewheel 150

I have this skimmer, and apparantly from what ive read each skimmer is designed to work in a certain depth of water. I cant seem to find this information, does anyone happen have one of these and know?

I don't know as much about skimmers as others on this website but i found this.

'Simple to use! Plug it in and set the water level
using the telescoping riser tube.'
Octopus Skimmers

Looks like it's adjustable so maybe there isn't a set hight for this one.

I beleive its out of water. The riser tube you can lower or raise to adjust the wetness of your skimmate. The higher the water level, the wetter the skimmate. Some of them also dont have a recomended height.

what im getting from that site is go ahead and put it in your sump. There is no required water height, just dont fully submerege the whole skimmer and make sure the pump is in the water. Then turn it on and adjust it, and let it go.

I have one, well i have the recirculating model but i do have an octopus skimmer. Not up and running yet.
